The Venue: A Romantic French Setting
Surrounded by rustic stonework, dangling romantic lights, charming shutters, and romantic gardens, Mikayla and Beck got married in the most beautifully romantic French setting at the enchanting Chateau Sentout.
The ambiance of their venue—and its charm—makes it very easy to take any request you may have as a bride-to-be. It complements those requests in a beautiful way. Mikayla and Beck’s venue truly made for an absolutely perfect spot for their purple-inspired wedding day!
The Design: Elegant Purple Wedding Inspiration
Our couple’s purple color palette was stunning and posh! Here is some purple wedding inspiration and how purple was incorporated into the various details:
- Florals – There is so much purple naturally occurring in nature, and it is beautiful. Their floral arrangements incorporated lavender, deep violet roses (stunning!), and lilacs, accompanied by lush greenery. And Mikayla’s bouquet featured several flowers, all in varying shades of purple. This created depth within the bouquet. This complimented the white of her gown perfectly.
- Bridesmaid Dresses – The bridesmaids’ dresses and even Beck’s boutonnière all featured purple.
- Tablescape – Their table linens also featured purple and were complimented with amethyst glassware and gold accents within the flatware and throughout their tablescape. We loved the gold addition because this really made the purple pop!
- Stationary and Signage – Even their stationary and signage hanging throughout their wedding venue, all tastefully showcased an element of purple. The signage used classic romantic calligraphy with lilac watercolor details throughout.
A Dreamy Ceremony & Reception
Mikayla and Beck had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on a beautiful sunny day in France. They were surrounded by open space, gardens, and their friends and family. They said “I do” underneath a rustic, wood-lined floral arch featuring purple floral arrangements on either side. Their arch was made complete by the purple fabric draped alongside it. This gave the wedding arch an even more romantic feel for their ceremony.
Touches like this are so important. As we mentioned before, these touches tie in their purple color theme into their various wedding details. They helped create a cohesive look throughout—and provided some truly terrific purple wedding inspiration.
What made Mikayla and Beck’s wedding ceremony special were their personal touches. For example, they both incorporated cowboy boots into the wedding! Mikayla’s had a blueish hue (something blue—very clever!). This was a very fun additional element. Another very significant addition was a tribute to Mikayla’s late father during the ceremony.
A long reception table was nestled between rustic brick walls draped with ivory and other romantic greenery. The evening began in the final sun-kissed moments of the day. As the reception space grew darker, a romantic candlelit atmosphere filled the space with purple uplighting.
The couple was illuminated in gorgeous lighting for their first dance and the cake-cutting ceremony portions of the night. The floral arrangement centerpiece was a perfect complement to the tablescape. It boasted amethyst glassware and gold flatware.
